Located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast is IRT’s latest $20 million high level 60 Bed age care facility including a gated complex of 90 resident Villas with community center, workshop, cinema and conference hall, hairdressers, library, gym and swimming pool facilities.

Description

Arkfield were the successful tenderer engaged on fixed price lump sum arrangement for the supply and installation of new Airconditioning, toilet and general ventilation systems, kitchen ventilation, stainless steel kitchen hoods, HACCP compliant cold rooms, mechanical services switchboards, graphical interface HVAC controllers, specialised laundry extraction systems including sound bars for noise reduction, server room air-conditioning, extensive passive fire protection systems used throughout.

Challenges

During the works; several design deficiencies regarding spatial were identified. In response to this, Arkfield entered into an arrangement with the Main contractor to resolve all issues thru in-house reverse engineering design which negated cost blow outs and ensured all timeframes were met.
